September Oaks Vineyards (SOV) is a family owned boutique winery. Our goal is to create unique and
high quality wines, specializing in wines made from muscadine grapes (vitis rotundifolia). We'll
also be developing a variety of wines from different vinefera grapes as well as blending the merlot
and muscadine grapes.
Grady Woods is an architect and has spent the last twenty years designing a variety of projects in
South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina. As owner and winemaker in training he plans to combine
his love for the outdoors and nature with his passion for creating unique and interesting solutions.
He views wine as he does architecture. Every building design is different and he plans to make all
of the wines SOV produces unique and different.
The SOV property is graced with thirty or more grand live oaks, a small pecan orchard, planted pines
and now with the addition of the vineyard it seems complete. We want to share our property with you
and hope that you will appreciate it as much as we do.
South Carolina presently has only a few wineries and we believe that ours will be one that you will
remember. Our property and our wines will hopefully remind you of a special place and time. Stop by
